What a fabulous year! If I don't get a chance to say goodbye in person at early dismissal Thursday (11:30), I just wanted to thank you all for your support over the school year. 

I really enjoyed working with this group! I wish you all a wonderful summer!!

May Update

Here's what's happening:

- Thurs., May 11, 6:30, Spring Concert (students arrive 6:10)

- Wed., May 17, class photos

- Mon., May 22, NO SCHOOL > school in session Fri., May 26

- Tues., May 30, track & field day for grade 4s 

- June 5 - 8, week of Holly Arntzen (performance that Thursday)

- Tues., June 13, 20 & 27, class free swim **

- Mon., June 19, NO SCHOOL > school in session Fri., June 23 (Fun Day)

- Thurs., June 29, early dismissal, reports home

** I have decided NOT to go with swimming lessons this year. And instead, our class will be going swimming for an hour for fun 3 times. I believe it costs $2.00 per student per swim - more info to come!

Happy Spring!  Students have worked SO hard this week on division, persuasive paragraphs and mapping!  WOW!!

March Update

Hello  Here's what's happening:

- Planners are staying at school until the new folders I ordered arrive. *If your child's Planner is at home PLEASE send it in!  

-  no Math Homework this week (Planners stay here), but I encourage the use of money (counting change, making purchases, discussing tax, etc.)

- word sorts (spelling) is back on track, blue & purple groups are taking home test results today

- Conservancy Project: their Species at Risk projects are coming along very well!  We are going on a walking field trip Monday morning (no permission form required), parents are welcome.  Projects will be on display in the Multipurpose room March 13 - 16.

- Early Dismissal Thursday, March 9th, please contact me if you would like to speak with me (I am also available all year via phone, email, or after school).  

- I am sending home student and teacher report cards on the last day before Spring Break (Thursday, March 16th)

Buddy Time

January Update

Happy New Year!  

- NO school this Friday (tomorrow)

- new skating and swimming date is still being decided, probably February

- subtraction work was sent home today, Monday we begin multiplication

- we are also working on MONEY; please practice multiples of 5, 10 and 25, and provide opportunities to use money and count change

- thank you for sending Planners everyday!  Math homework will be marked over the weekend, and please help your child fill in their Home Reading Log on school nights.
